A single APK (arm64, Android 10 or higher) embeds the unmodified DeepSeek Harness engine into the App process, allowing you to use a single sentence to have your phone organize files, read the screen and tap to operate apps, change system settings, or automatically execute tasks based on schedules/conditions, without requiring root access or Termux.

Reasons
- Capabilities are divided into four categories: Files (searching, organizing, compressing, and reading text from PDF/Word/Excel/PPT), Screen and Apps (reading the screen, clicking, sliding, and inputting based on accessibility services), System Settings and Notifications (brightness, Do Not Disturb, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, replying to notifications), and Automation (triggered by schedules, or when connecting to Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, starting to charge, arriving at a location, or receiving a notification).
- The author states that dsh runs as-is without forking: Node 24 is compiled into an Android native library and started within the foreground service process; skills, MCP, sub-agents, and web search are all available; device capabilities are implemented in Kotlin and passed to dsh via a private socket channel.
- In addition to DeepSeek, you can add OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, Zhipu, Tongyi, MiniMax, etc., or any OpenAI-compatible interface; 10-27 builds the library, and this is the first inclusion in this column. Like Droy collected by 10-28, this is also a DSH agent on Android, but this one does not rely on root, and Shizuku is only optional.
Usage
- Download and install the APK from Releases (currently 0.1.2, the installation package is about 110 MB, it is recommended to reserve 500 MB); log in to your DeepSeek account or enter an API key, and directly state what you want to do, for example, "List the largest 5 files in the download directory"; the App will guide you to enable permissions when they are needed.
- Optional: In Settings → Phone Permissions, one-click install Shizuku to unlock more system switches, and enable "Boot Start (Wireless Debugging)" in Shizuku (requires Shizuku 13.6+, Android 11+).
Risks
- Cannot operate other apps when there is a secure lock screen (tasks will pause and wait for unlocking); some domestic ROMs require manually allowing "Background Pop-up Interface" and "Auto-start"; engine cold start takes about 5 seconds.
- Third-party models only support OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions, context is uniformly set to 128K, reasoning levels cannot be selected, and web search still requires a separate DeepSeek API key.
- Accessibility, notification reading, and Shizuku permissions are extensive, effectively allowing the agent to view and tap the entire phone; this is a community project, and the README states it is unrelated to DeepSeek officially.
