DSH-Android (formerly DeepseekHarness-Android; added Do Not Disturb mode and a floating ball after the rename)

A single APK (arm64, Android 10 or higher) embeds the unmodified DeepSeek Harness engine into the app process, enabling it to read the screen, tap to operate apps, organize files, change system settings, or automatically execute tasks based on conditions; 10-30 was previously collected under the name DeepseekHarness-Android, but today the repository has been renamed and several new capabilities have been added.

Reasons

  • Compared to 10-30, new features include: a "Do Not Disturb mode" for Android 14 and above (after configuring Shizuku or connecting to ADB, the Agent operates on a virtual screen without occupying your display); invoking the agent via a floating ball in any app and sending the current screen to it; a built-in Linux environment on the phone capable of running Python and scripts written by the agent itself; and connecting to DSH on a computer via SSH or DSH Remote.
  • The model service list now includes Grok, OpenRouter, Volcano Ark, SiliconFlow, and StepFun; the README adds installation instructions for handling the "Harmful app blocked" prompt from Google Play Protect; the version number in the source code has reached 0.3.0 (the README listed 0.1.2 when 10-30 was current).
  • The architecture remains unchanged: Node 24 is compiled into an Android native library and started within the :engine foreground service; dsh does not fork; device capabilities are implemented in Kotlin and passed to dsh via a private socket channel.

Usage

  • Download and install the APK from Releases (approximately 110 MB; it is recommended to reserve 500 MB); log in with a DeepSeek account or enter an API key, state what you want to do, and the app will guide you to enable permissions as needed.
  • To use Do Not Disturb mode and more system toggles: go to Settings → Phone Permissions to install Shizuku with one click, and enable "Start on boot (Wireless debugging)" within Shizuku.

Risks

  • README examples include automatically applying and greeting on BOSS Zhipin and placing orders on Taobao; acting on behalf of users on third-party platforms may violate their terms of service, so you must confirm order-related tasks yourself; granting accessibility, notification access, SMS, and Shizuku permissions effectively allows the agent to view and interact with the entire phone.
  • Other apps cannot be operated when the screen is locked with a security lock; third-party models only support OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions, and context length is uniformly set to 128K; engine cold start takes approximately 5 seconds; the Releases page could not be directly verified this period, so please refer to the release page to confirm whether an installer for 0.3.0 is available.
