An unofficial mobile host implementation for DeepSeek Harness: it uses DSH's built-in webworker-runtime to run the engine natively inside a Web Worker within the system's WKWebView. The Swift native host handles local loopback services, write-ahead logging (power loss results in losing at most the last unclosed segment), model gateway credential injection (API keys do not enter the Worker), and background/memory/temperature budgets. It also features custom Rust read-only accelerators (rg / jq / tree-sitter) and a connector design that integrates BLE and LAN peripherals into the same session.

Reason
- 10-28 repository creation, first inclusion in this column; unlike Android clients that require an embedded Linux environment, it follows a path of "installing onto phones according to the official plugin contract without modifying DSH source code." The DSH version is pinned to a fixed commit at 0.2.1-rc.2, with scripts ensuring no patches are applied.
- Outbound network traffic only goes through the host's /v1/http and is checked against an allowlist. The example app disables DSH telemetry, and the repository contains no analytics or crash reporting code.
Usage
- Currently requires building from source: needs Xcode 26, Swift 6.3+, XcodeGen, Node.js 22.19+, and pnpm. First clone and checkout the pinned version of deepseek-harness, then build the Worker package and examples/probe-app, and use xcodebuild to generate simulator or device packages (for devices, you must change to your own bundle ID and sign).
Risks
- The author states in "Status and Limitations": the current source code has no end-to-end gating records. Signing, installation, real model calls, and background behavior on physical iPhones have not been tested (NOT_RUN); only earlier revisions have simulator and desktop evidence. There are no App Store or TestFlight packages, and the Android side merely follows the same specification.
- The mascot is a fan-made image of the DeepSeek assistant and is not covered by the MIT license; there is no affiliation with official DeepSeek.
