Reasons

  • No prior adaptation is required; it reads the interface via accessibility services. For elements that cannot be read, it uses accompanying text recognition, and if an image model is configured, it can identify buttons by looking at images. Usage knowledge has been written for common apps and websites (WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, BOSS Zhipin, Amazon, etc.).
  • The default "Ask" mode only prompts you before spending money; login, verification codes, and payments require your manual takeover. There are no Mika-specific servers; conversations and screenshots are sent only to the model providers you configure, with keys and memory encrypted and stored locally using the Android Keystore.
  • Includes presets for service providers such as DeepSeek, Tongyi Qianwen, Kimi, Zhipu, MiniMax, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Ollama; you can also log in with a ChatGPT account. Each task records the time taken and token usage.

Usage

  • Download the APK from Releases and install it. Pair wireless debugging once in the "Set up phone operations" wizard (Mika will enable accessibility services itself), then add models that support tool calling and API keys in the "Models" section.
  • Installation requires Android 11+, task execution requires Android 13+, and Android 14+ is recommended; the Linux sandbox only supports arm64 and has network access disabled by default.

Risks

  • In the default ask mode, sending messages, submitting forms, and deleting items are performed directly without confirmation; bulk greetings and applications do not require prior list confirmation. Automated operations on third-party apps may violate their terms of service and carry a risk of account bans; the author states in the disclaimer that users bear the consequences.
  • Early public beta version, primarily tested on only one Android 14 phone; the repository 10 was created on 29, licensed under Apache-2.0.
